Lumut is about 84km south-west of Ipoh and some 206km south of Butterworth. Mainly a fishing village today, it houses the country's principal naval base and a port which service the industrial estate nearby. Lumut's most popular beach is Teluk Batik, a long stretch of white sand where the Dataran Hadhari is located.

I am fully disapointed with my family outing during this school holidays to teluk batik resort hotel, with full of promises given to us by them....
the snorkeling park is one of the worst snorkeling I ever had. The water is dirty and cloudy, no fishes and coral at all. I rather enjoy ourselves in the beach. It will be our last trip to this hotel, the service is lousy too..
